Mitsuaki Gamou, the Sagittarius Zodiart, sometimes known as the Red-Eyed Man, has always been different from other people. Ever since he was a child, he has heard the voice of the Presenters, the highest intelligence in the universe, who dwell at the very edge of space.
He has made it his life's work to answer their call, to find them and meet them - and while he does not resent the people who would stop him, or begrudge them their attempts, his patience is not limitless.
Gamou is stubborn, obsessively single-minded (amorally so, even), and struggles to relate to people - but for all that, he is a pretty nice guy, in a severe kind of way, dedicated absolutely to helping others any way he can, so long as it does not impact meaningfully on his plans.
Gamou comes in from two points.
Mid-canon, at age 47, as the chairman of Amanogawa High School and the leader of the Horoscopes, with his plan to create a warp gate to the Presenter home world finally starting to come to fruition.
Pre-canon, at age 17, as a high school student who has recently earned himself an internship and training scheme place at OSTO, a space exploration agency, along with his two friends Kuniteru Emoto and Rokuro Utahoshi.
Further notes include: Sometimes his eyes turn red. Do not worry! Unless he has severe conjunctivitis, this means one of three things: He is hostile, and may toss a miniature exploding star at you; he is about to use a hypnotic suggestion on you; he is just getting quite passionate about something.
Canonically, his hypnotic suggestions are very powerful, but require him to get right up in the victim's face, and seemingly wear off after a matter of weeks or even days. Pre-canon Gamou, who is not nearly so adept with his abilities, is rather less skilled with them - their success rate is much lower, and they wear off a lot more quickly (hours or days).
